Accept Imperfection, but Aim High

You’re not going to be perfect all the time and you likely will not always adhere to every guideline. HOWEVER, by starting this journey with the first steps toward taking the best care of  yourself, you will gain the knowledge to stay committed. It is no longer a vague understanding or a fly by the seat of your pants type of deal. When you do things that are not good for you, a part of you will know you are going against your own understanding and knowledge of what is best. This is not to say you should torture yourself every time you make a mistake…but awareness is the key. Once you become aware that you’re going against what is best for you, you can begin to question and understand WHY…and make healthier choices next time.

Your Personal Wellness Blueprint

A Personal Wellness Blueprint is used to create awareness of, and transform the way you take care of yourself. The blueprint starts with your family history and includes evaluating existing habits that support your current state of health.  This wellness blueprint will cover; nutritional habits, exercise habits, medical concerns, determine the habits that require modification, and establish a positive self-image.

Patience is the key to a good client-coach relationship. I understand that what works for one client may not work for another. Finding a comfortable pace for my clients is imperative. Some clients may progress at a faster rate, while others may require more coaching and assistance. Nutritional Roadmap

What we eat greatly influences how our body functions.  Just as our vehicle needs gas, our body need the right fuel to sustain our daily activities as well as our recreational activities.  Without proper nutrition, the body is not able to function as it was designed.  Signals (hunger pains) are sent of the need for more fuel.  By giving our body the nutrition it needs, it will perform better and last longer.  Eating foods that are low in nutritional value cause the body to struggle to maintain operations and can start deciding what functions are essential and what functions can be minimally supported or even shut down.

Change your perspective!  Our body’s nutrition can easily be compared to swiss cheese–it has holes, many holes.  For many people these holes are big.  By making changes to food choices, one at a time, you can start to fill in these holes.  Coaching provides the education to create the transitional steps of consuming foods with low nutritional value to consuming foods with higher nutritional value.

One-To-One Training

Personal training is no longer for the young or the athlete.  Tailored to fit each client’s individual needs as a person. You have your own physical “Blueprint” that we take into account, looking at the person as a whole, in order to provide the highest quality of safe and effective training methods. We work with all types of people of all ages and physical background.

One-to-one training is for:

  • New mom’s who are ready to get back into their pre-baby clothes and feel healthy again
  • Functional Fitness that focuses on increasing balance and strengthening the body to support daily activities
  • Individuals who are tired of the “quick-fix” weight loss programs that end in gaining all the weight back plus more
  • Individuals who are serious about changing their lifestyle but need that extra push and professional help

Buddy Training Sessions

Buddy Training Sessions allows you to train with 3-4 of your friends or work colleagues while offering the individualized attention of personal training. If you’re not quite ready to jump into a big group but want the motivation of knowing that you’re accountable to more than just me and you, buddy training is a great option. Buddy training is great for many people because it challenges you to exceed your established fitness goals and succeed on your fitness path. We will set monthly individual goals as well as draft up a plan for you to stick to on the days you can’t make it into the workout.

Family Fitness Training

Family time is a precious commodity and, whether you have a busy work schedule or other obligations, family time seems to get cut short and your time to stay healthy seems to get cut out entirely. I’ve put together a Family Training Program for those of you who have children over the age of 7, who would like to use this as an opportunity to show your children the importance of building a healthy lifestyle while focusing on the goals that you have set for yourself, but also as a way to spend time together. Fun, age appropriate exercises are done with the children while the rest of the family gets in a great workout.
