Today’s blog is a bit different. It is about continuing to fine-tune ourselves. We all have those things that keep us from progressing to the great person we are meant to be. It can be accepting the body shape you were given, the fact that your hair is naturally curly…not straight, or that there is nothing wrong with being single.
In the most interesting events, small occurrences, and by chance meetings with a stranger, we can come to realize that next tune-up we need to make. Funny thing is you may not event be aware of the need for this tune-up. Today’s society is constantly telling us who we should be, what we should look like and how we should act. As I listen to the radio while they are reporting on what men like or what women like, I wonder whom are they asking these questions to and how many people did they ask. With 313.9 million people in the US, does a sampling of 1,000 really reveal what most people want? And do I really have to be like most people?
So today, take a moment to get quite and think about one thing that are you fighting against that you may just need to let go of and be you. Is it your hair, height, the house you live in, the clothes you wear? What one thing can you let go of and open up some mental space for you to focus on what really matters.
Remember; different is just that, different…but same is boring!
