What is so important about drinking water?

Did you know our bodies are 75% water and if you wait until you are thirsty, you are in the first stage of dehydration?  In order for the numerous reactions to take place in our bodies to support our existence, we need to give it enough water.   Check out the percentages below on the amount of water in various parts of our bodies.

Brain is 80.5%
Bones are 13%
Kidneys are 82.7%
Muscles are 75.6%
Blood is 90.7%

    I have found that if I "listen" to my body, I can tell when I need to drink water. I found your blog about not waiting until you are thirsty to drink water because it is the first stage of dehydration very helpful. It was great to see the percentages of water in different parts of the body too. I never really thought about it like that!
